Keller Schroeder, an information technology firm in Evansville, IN is seeking a M&A  IT Project Director to assist our direct client located in Evansville, IN.  This is a full-time contract position through the end of 2025, with a possible extension.  The IT Project Director will oversee a group of project managers during a large-scale IT systems integration.  This position will play a crucial role to ensure the successful implementation and onboarding of IT systems within the healthcare field.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage budgets, timelines, and project deliverables for a large-scale IT M&A integration project.
  • Lead and manage a team of project managers and analysts in a complex and fast-paced environment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders, including clients, partners, and vendors.
  • Scope projects and manage and negotiate vendor contracts for IT system integrations.
  • Communicate project updates, risks, and issues to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Use problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve project issues.
  • Lead IT system migrations/transitions/integrations, preferably with Epic experience.
  • Develop and implement change management strategies that address the cultural and operational shifts associated with IT system integrations.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • PMP certification or equivalent strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience in vendor contract management, encompassing negotiation, review, and administration of contracts with suppliers and vendors.
  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a project director capacity leading mergers and acquisitions for IT system integrations, specifically within the hospital/healthcare sector. Seeking experience with managing the following migration workstreams:
    1. Infrastructure (end-user computing, telecom, network, servers/storage)
    2. Security
    3. Business applications
    4. Clinical applications
    5. EMR
  • Experience working with a large healthcare system with multi-state operations.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate project updates, risks, and issues to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated experience in organizational change management, including the ability to develop and implement change strategies, engage employees, and ensure a smooth transition during IT integrations.
  • Ability to travel onsite for major milestones during project.
  • Must work hours in central time zone.
